About Fantasy Fashion

Welcome to Fantasy Fashion.

I’m Monique Lula—an artist, designer, photographer, and lifelong creative who has spent decades making things with my own hands. Long before AI image generation existed, I dreamed of designing imaginative clothing that blurred the line between fashion, fantasy, and art.

In my early twenties, I was accepted into the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles. Surprisingly, I never attended. By that point, I was already supporting myself as an independent artist, creating custom hand-dyed fabrics and textile art for interior designers throughout Southern California and later New Orleans. Choosing real-world experience over the classroom became one of the defining moments of my creative journey.

Being a self-employed artist for so many years meant wearing more than one hat. Along the way I taught myself website design and coding, photography, graphic design, photo editing, marketing, social media, and just about every other skill needed to build a creative business online. Every new project became an opportunity to learn something new.

Fantasy Fashion is my newest creative adventure.

Using modern AI technology as a digital art tool, I create whimsical, outrageous, elegant, and sometimes downright ridiculous fashion concepts that would be nearly impossible for me to build in real life. Whether it’s a gothic wedding gown embroidered with skull lace, a dress inspired by chickens, giant strawberries, or something completely unexpected, these creations exist simply because imagination doesn’t have to follow the rules.

My art studio is already overflowing with supplies collected over a lifetime of creating. There’s hardly room for another paintbrush, let alone enough fabric to produce every wild idea that pops into my head. Digital art has become a wonderful creative outlet, allowing me to explore limitless designs without the cost, time, or physical space that traditional fashion production requires.

Fantasy Fashion isn’t about predicting trends or selling couture. It’s about celebrating creativity, curiosity, humor, and the joy of asking, “What if?”

Whether my designs inspire you, make you smile, leave you laughing, or even leave you wondering what in the world you just looked at—that’s part of the fun. Art doesn’t always have to be practical. Sometimes it’s simply meant to spark imagination.

Thank you for visiting Fantasy Fashion and for being part of this wonderfully creative journey. I truly appreciate everyone who enjoys my work, shares it with others, laughs along with me, and yes—even those who are delightfully confused by it.

After all, the best fantasy begins with a little imagination.
